Plug Waffle maker in, I like mine set to 4. Combine 1/2 cup Kodiak Cakes mix, 1/2 cup water and 1/2tbs oil. Wait for the blue light to come on. When it lights spray a light spritz of cooking spray on top and bottom of waffle maker, pour in batter evenly, close lid. Steam will be about 4 feet tall, as it cooks the steam will lessen. When steam is only one foot unplug the waffle maker and pull out a perfect waffle. I get no leaks, no drips, batter wont even go into the moat... Now, when my wife makes them, the moat is full, I have to wipe up the sides of the waffle maker, the counter top, the feet of the waffle maker, the cord once... I don't understand why that is. So, I have become the waffle maker chef in our house. Enjoy!

Just bought this and so far it's the best waffle maker I've ever used at home. The light system is fairly accurate although I like mine a little crispier so I leave it on a minute longer than instructed when the blue light comes back on.

I bought this for my son as he eats frozen waffles on a daily basis. This little machine is wonderful!! It makes a good sized Belgium waffle in no time. I just received it yesterday and, so far, have made the batter out of the instant pancake mix (there is is measurement for waffles) and I couldn't believe how nice they turned out. I was a little too scant for the first one because I didn't want it to overflow and ended up with a couple tiny holes in the waffle...no big deal. I've discovered that if you fill the iron from the middle and let it "seep" to inside of the first row of 'squares' it turns out well :) It's easy to clean and sits vertical on the counter for every day use not taking up a lot of space. Two thumbs up for sure!!!!

The no-spill groove works great, but with the included measuring cup you get perfect waffles every time anyway.
