I have always resisted a motorized sharpener. However, I have been pleased with this sharpener. I can sharpen all of our kitchen knives in about a 1/3 of the time it takes me manually. It puts a 15* angle on the blade, which leads to a sharper edge. I can almost shave with our knives now. Time will tell if this machine holds up. Would recommend this sharpener.

If you own lots of expensive knives, you need this machine. The more you own, the more you need it. If you have invested a decent amount of money in knives, it's a good bet you did that not just for how nice they look, but for how sharp they are.

I was hesitant to spend the money on a machine knife sharpener but after getting entirely frustrated with cheap manual one, I did my research and found this one. Now, I am wondering why I waited so long. This knife sharpener is a must for home chefs. Every knife I sharpened on it is like a razor now. Incredible.

This machine does exactly what they set out for it to do. When used according to instructions in addition to your own personal understanding of how any blade is honed, you and this sharpener will produce well sharpened knifes. If you are new to knife sharpening and you have a spare utility knife that you dont mind destroying, I suggest taking trial runs through each grinder and polisher until you your muscle memory is set. Then move on to your ZWILLING :-)

Wanting happiness in the household and kitchen, we recently purchased three new high-grade kitchen knives from a brand name Japanese manufacturer. These were designed to replace a set of similar sized, but well used/worn knives from a German producer that were no longer getting the job done.
